How to Frame Mosaics
Mosaics have been created by artists for thousands of years; these pictures were used to decoratively cover walls, furniture and floors. If you would like to capture the look of a mosaic wall, you do not have to cover your entire wall with glass tiles in order to achieve the look. Instead, make your own mosaic picture that can be framed and hung on the wall.
Things You'll Need

1
Place your empty frame over a piece of card stock and trace the inner part of the frame onto the card stock. Cut out the shape. Measure 1/2 inch in on each side of the shape to leave room for the edges of the mosaic picture to fit through the frame.
-
2
Insert a new hot glue stick into the back of a hot glue gun, plug in the gun and allow it to heat for 15 minutes.

3
Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the back of a glass bead or flat glass marble and press it onto the inner rectangle on the card stock. Hold the bead or marble in place for two minutes so that the hot glue can harden.
-
4
Repeat this process to fill in the inner rectangle with glass beads or flat glass marbles completely. Be creative. You can apply the glass beads or marbles in a solid color or you can create a pattern or picture using the different colors of the glass beads as a guide.

5
Take the back off a decorative picture frame and remove the glass. Discard the glass or save it for a different project.
-
6
Insert the mosaic into the open frame through the back, which will allow the mosaic to poke out through the front. Place the back onto the frame and hang up your framed mosaic.
