Instructions

Visit your doctor or dermatologist to have your skin assessed, and to obtain a prescription for tetracycline. You may also be prescribed a topical cream.

Take the prescribed dose of tetracycline each day with a glass of water. Take your prescription one hour before or two hours after eating. This drug must be taken on an empty stomach to be effective, as food inhibits the absorption of the drug.
