How to Glue My Broken Eyeglasses
Many people rely on their glasses to read, watch television or drive. An unfortunate accident or simple wear and tear can easily cause damage to a pair of eyeglasses. If your glasses break and you are unable to make it to an optometrist or you simply cannot afford to replace them, you can still use glue to return your glasses to a usable state. It takes some ingenuity, but gluing your broken glasses back together is an economic solution to a common problem.

1
Clean the broken area of your eyeglasses thoroughly with a gentle soap. Be sure to remove any dirt, grime and oil to ensure proper adhesion. Let your glasses air dry to ensure there is no debris from a paper towel that would inhibit bonding.

2
Place a small amount of quick-drying glue on a toothpick. Spread the glue onto the broken area of your eyeglasses thoroughly, taking care not to drop any excess glue onto your frames or lenses.

3
Adhere the two broken pieces of your eyeglasses together firmly. Use a cotton swab to remove any additional glue that seeps out of the broken area to ensure a clean bond. Depending on the strength and drying time of your adhesive, either hold the two pieces of your eyeglasses together until bonding is complete or store your still-drying glasses in a cool and dry place.
