How to Use an ISO Disc
You cannot use the contents of an ISO disc image until you either burn the image to disc or mount it to a virtual drive. In Windows 7, you have the native ability to burn ISO images to disc, although if you want to mount the image, you'll need a third-party utility. Once you have burned the ISO image to a blank CD or DVD and inserted it into your computer, you will be able to use it like any normal disc. ISO images are used for backups and also for some software distribution.
