How to Rotate a Picture 180 Degrees in Word

How to Rotate a Picture 180 Degrees in Word thumbnail
You can use rotation to display pictures upside down.

Microsoft Word allows you to insert pictures from your file, clip art collection, scanner and other programs. The inserted picture is added as inline text, so it's placed on the same line as your current line of text. Word lets you format, move and rotate pictures more easily when you switch from inline text. A green rotation handle appears on the selected image when rotation is possible. You can apply a 180 degree rotation to display pictures upside down.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Word. In the Insert tab, select the picture you want to rotate.

    • 2

Go to the Format tab. In the Arrange group, pick "Text Wrapping" and "Tight."

    • 3

Select "Rotate" and "More Rotation Options" from the Arrange group. The Format Picture dialog box opens to the Size tab.

    • 4

Set the "Rotation" option to "180" and click "OK."
