1
Measure the embroidery floss so you have a 30 inch length of each color.
-
2
Grasp the four strands together in your hand and tie them together in an overhand knot approximately 2 inches away from the ends.
-
-
3
Tape the knot to a work surface.
-
4
Grasp the strand on the left side and tie this strand around the other three strands in an overhand knot, positioning the knot immediately under the first knot. Replace this strand with the other three strands so this strand is now on the right side.
-
5
Take the next strand on the left and tie this strand around the other three strands in the same overhand knot. Make the knots snug against each other and replace this strand with the other strands on the right side.
-
6
Repeat the process of tying an overhand knot around three strands with the strand on the left. Continue tying overhand knots until the friendship bracelet becomes long enough to encircle your wrist with about 1 inch of excess for comfort.
-
7
Tie all four strands together in an overhand knot. Remove the tape from the first knot.
-
8
Place the bracelet around your wrist, bringing the two ends together. Tie the two ends together in a double knot and cut off the excess embroidery floss.
