How to Unlock the Trade Machine on "Pokemon Crystal"

"Pokemon Crystal" is the sixth game in the Pokemon series in North America and Europe. In this game, players can choose the sex of their character and when the Pokemon enters a battle, it has animated sprites. If you want to unlock the Trade Machine, there is a way that even the novice player can use.

Instructions

1. Fight your rival for the first time. It does not matter whether you win or lose in this battle.

2. Go to Professor Elm's House after the battle is over.

3. Tell the cop your rival's name. Give your rival any name you want. The Trade Machine unlocks and it is possible to trade Pokemon with the "Gold," "Silver" and "Crystal" versions.
