How to Write on a Pastor Appreciation Cake
When making a Pastor Appreciation cake, most people write some type of message on the cake. Typically, decorators write the message with icing. While there are single-use icing tube that some use to write names, many use an icing cone. The piping tip, which looks like a small circle, works most effectively for writing the message. You can use the tip to print or write in cursive, but printing is easier. Does this Spark an idea?

Scoop 1 cup to 1.5 cups of icing into a bowl. Add in icing coloring, if desired. Stir the icing and dye until the color mixes completely with the icing and there are no streaks.

Put a piping into an icing cone. Scoop the icing into the cone. Push it to the bottom. Fold the opening on the cone closed.

Push a toothpick into the cake to make an outline of the letters out of dots. Model it like connect the dots.

Grip the lower part of the icing cone with your dominant hand, but don't squeeze it. Hold the tip about 2 cm over the dots on the cake. Clutch the top of the icing cone with your other hand and press down. Move the tip over dots as you push down on the icing cone to write the message.
