How to Install Java Plugin in Firefox 1.5.0.12

Java is a web-based application that allows for interactive multimedia applets to be loaded on certain websites. Java, while an application environment in its own right, also must be installed for each browser via a plugin. If you are using Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.12, you will have to install the generic Firefox plugin for Java. You will not find problems when installing the plugin because of your Firefox version.

      Go to the Java website in your Firefox browser (see Resources). Click "Free Java Download."

      Click "Edit Options" on the Firefox protection notice. Click "Allow" in the box that appears and then click "Close."

      Click the "Free Java Download" button again and then "Save File." Wait for the installer to finish downloading. Double-click the setup file.
