How to Know If You Are Experiencing Spirit Contact

Spirits are disembodied entities that have died and crossed over to the other side. Spirits sometimes choose to return to the physical world to communicate with the living. Paranormal researchers believe spirits return to offer comfort or guidance to people in need and to reassure family members that they are safe. Spirit connection can also occur as a result of a request for contact. Some people perform rituals or meditate for the purpose of communicating with general or specific spirits, in order to gain information or wisdom. There are common signs that can be attributed to spirit contact.

   Sometimes spirits will communicate using symbols that only you understand.

   Check for unexplained electrical disturbances. Spirits are able to easily manipulate electricity because they are pure energy. Flickering lights or electrical equipment that turn on or off by themselves may indicate spiritual activity.

2. Observe any drastic changes in room temperature of three degrees or more. Some people feel cold spots in their house when a spirit is near. This is because spirits draw in heat to build energy, thus leaving a chill in the area when they are near.

3. Listen for unusual sounds or voices. Any unexplained noise can happen as a result of spirit activity. Rule out any practical causes such as house guests, neighbors, pets or electronics, before assuming a spirit is to blame.

4. Notice any objects moving by themselves or being discovered in unusual locations. Spirits are known to move objects around the house and open and shut doors. This is particularly easy to validate, if you live alone.

5. Watch for moving shadows or transparent apparitions. Many times people notice them out of the corner of their eyes. Get a camera and take pictures in your home, if you believe you have spirit contact. Sometimes the camera will pick up images that are not visible with the naked eye.

6. Check your home for unpleasant smells such as sulfur or rotting meat. This may indicate the presence of an evil or demonic spirit.
