How to Create Desktop Shortcuts for Google Maps
Google Maps offers driving directions and area maps for the entire United States and many areas around the world. If you've configured a map and wish to have easier access to it, you can link directly to it from your Desktop by creating a shortcut. This shortcut will automatically launch your default browser and reload the designated map.
