How to Move Photos From a Mac to a Windows Home Server

Windows Home Server is an operating system designed to make the task of file storage in a home environment much easier to manage. Windows Home Server supports features like automatic file system redundancy across multiple hard drives to help protect the data. You can move photos from a computer running Apple's Mac OS X operating system to a Windows Home Server file share by using the built-in Server Message Block (SMB) protocol.

      Click the "Finder" icon in the Dock.

      Click the "Go" menu at the top of the screen.

      Click "Network."

      Double-click the Windows Home Server computer.

      Enter the username and password of the Windows Home Server if prompted.

      Double-click the file share to mount it on the Mac.

      Drag the photos from the Mac to the mounted Windows Home Server file share.
