How to Calculate Rakeback

The rake is how online poker sites generate income through taking a small amount of money from each bet at their cash tables. Rakeback allows users to gain a return on some of that money based on how often they use the site and the amount they bet. Calculating the rakeback is entirely based on the rakeback that the online site offers. To correctly calculate what your rakeback would be, you must first find out the rakeback terms offered at the poker site you use.

      Click on the address bar and type in the address "www.rakeback.com." Click on the "Rakeback Offers" hyperlink at the top of the page. Find the poker website you use and make a note of the rakeback it provides.

      Get a piece of paper and begin writing down the hands as you play your cash game. Take note of the total rake from the pot on each hand and the number of players at the table.

      Divide the total rake by the number of people at the table during the hand. For example, if the total pot rake was $10 and there were six people at the table, you would divide 10 by 6, giving you 1.67.

      Divide the number given from your earlier division by the percentage rake that the poker site you are using offers. For example, if the poker site you are using offers 27 percent rake to its players, you would divide 1.67 by 100 then multiply that by 27, giving you 0.45. This would mean that for that hand, you would receive a 45-cent rakeback,
