ITunes lets you copy or "sync" all of the music and other media in your iTunes library to any Apple device, including all models of iPod. All of your playlists are preserved so whatever lists are in your iTunes library are mirrored in your iPod. Although you cannot sync one iPod with multiple iTunes libraries, you can sync an unlimited number of iPods with a single iTunes library. The sync process is just as easy for the second iPod as it is for the first one.
Things You'll Need
- Media in iTunes library
- iPod USB cable
Launch iTunes on your computer and wait for it to completely load before moving on to the next step.
Connect the second iPod to your computer via the USB cable that came with the iPod. Wait for the iPod Setup Assistant to appear and guide you through the setup process.
Type a name for the second iPod. Make it different from the name of the first iPod that is already synced with your iTunes. Leave the other settings at their defaults.
Click "Done." ITunes will immediately begin syncing your iTunes library to the second iPod. This could take just a moment or well over an hour to complete. When the Apple logo appears in the top-center area of the iTunes screen, the second iPod is done syncing.
