Hook up your MacBook Pro to your LG TV to enjoy your digital videos, photos and websites on your TV's larger screen. Your MacBook Pro features an external video port that allows the signal from your video card to be transmitted to other monitors. While the video port is native, an additional Apple display adapter is required to make the connection to a TV or monitor.
Things You'll Need
- Apple display adapter
- VGA cable
Insert the small side of the Apple display adapter into the external video port on the left side of your MacBook Pro. The port is square in shape and is accompanied by a small picture of a monitor.
Fasten one end of the VGA cable into the other end of the Apple display adapter. Fasten the screws on either side of the cable to lock the connection in place.
Connect the other side of the VGA cable to the PC port on the back panel of your LG TV.
Turn on your TV and press the "Input" button multiple times until the image from your computer appears on the LG screen.
