With Windows 8.1, putting a Web browser into full screen requires just a single key. Whether you're using Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome, the F11 key opens and closes full screen mode and the same commands for zooming in and out of the page apply to each browser. If you have Windows 8.1, 8.1 RT, 8.1 Pro, or 8.1 Enterprise, you also have the option to create an account with assigned access, forcing Internet Explorer into full-screen mode. Sometimes called "kiosk mode," assigned access can be ideal if other people (particularly people you don't know or children) will be using the computer. When logged into this account, users can't make the browser window smaller or access any other apps.
