How do I Put Music on the iPod?
Apple produces the iPod portable music player in four models and several capacities. From the smallest iPod Shuffle to the largest iPod Classic, you load music onto the device using the free iTunes media management software on your computer.

Connect the iPod to the computer using the USB cord that came with the device. The iTunes application should automatically launch.

Click the "Music" tab at the top of the left pane of the iTunes screen.

Place a check next to the songs you want to put onto the iPod.

Click the iPod icon beneath "Devices" on the left pane of the iTunes screen.

Click "Sync" on the lower right side of the iTunes screen. The music you selected transfers to the iPod.

Tips & Warnings
Download the free iTunes software from the Apple website if it is not already loaded on your computer.
If you have an iPod Touch, you can also add music by purchasing it directly from the iTunes Store on the device. Tap the "iTunes" icon on the device's home screen for access to the store.
