How to Turn Off OVR on Word
The Microsoft Office Word software program features an overtype mode, also referred to as OVR mode, that allows you to type over the current text within a document with having to delete the text first. Commonly, overtype mode can be an unwanted feature if you tend to accidentally type incorrect text. However, you can easily turn off the OVR mode at any time to prevent the text from being deleted as you type.
