How to Delete a Yahoo! Messenger Status
Yahoo! Messenger facilitates instant messaging communication between two or more Yahoo! Messenger users. You can chat by typing, talking or video chatting. When you first log in and view your logged-in list of Friends in Yahoo! Messenger, their statuses appear below their names. Your own status appears in the exact same way to your friends when you are logged in. Once entered, your status stays the same until you change or delete it.

Launch Yahoo! Messenger on your computer. Log in with your Yahoo! ID and password.

Click inside the status box that appears below your display name. This automatically highlights the status.
