How to Turn on AppleTalk in Mac OS 10.6
AppleTalk is the software that connects your Apple computer to a network. AppleTalk is a set of local area network protocols that can support the communication of up to 32 devices. AppleTalk can share printers, computers, mobile devices and transfer files through Ethernet or wireless network connections. AppleTalk is a standard feature on Mac OS 10.6. In order to enable AppleTalk, the user must first turn it on.

Click on the "apple" at the top left hand corner of your desktop.

Select the "System Preferences" option and click on the "Network" menu option to open the configuration window.

Click on the "Advanced" tab, and select the "AppleTalk" option. Select the "Make AppleTalk" active check-box and close the window. You have now successfully turned on AppleTalk
