You can use old corks as a craft material.

If you enjoy drinking fine wines, you may like to save the corks as special mementos. However, you may not like the way that all of your corks seems to fill up drawers and cabinets. One solution is to use the corks as a craft material to create a cork ring wreath. This will allow you to display your corks in a more eye-catching and elegant way than simply stuffing them into drawers.

Instructions

    • 1

Push a new hot glue stick into the hot glue gun, and plug it into a wall outlet. Let the hot glue gun heat up for five minutes.

    • 2

Place a foam florist ring flat onto a table top.

    • 3

Squeeze a pea-sized dollop of hot glue onto the bottom of a cork, and press the glued side of the cork onto the foam ring. Hold it in place for two minutes to allow the hot glue to cool.

    • 4

Squeeze another dollop of hot glue onto a second cork, then press the second cork onto the foam ring right next to the first cork. Hold it in place for two minutes, as before. Repeat this process until the entire foam ring is filled with corks.

Cut a piece of wire to measure 12 inches long using wire cutters, then bend the wire once around the cork ring. Twist the top of the wire into a loop, which you can use to hang up the cork wreath.
