How to Access AT&T Voicemail

AT&T offers voicemail for both land line and cellular phones. The process of accessing the voicemail box is slightly different, depending on whether the number is connected to a land line or cell phone. Either way, users an check their voicemail from the same phone, or from a different phone. All they need is the password they entered when they originally set up the voicemail box.

Instructions

  1. Land Line Voicemail

    • 1

      Dial "*98" on your AT&T land line phone.

      Dial your home phone number from another phone. Press "9" to interrupt the greeting.

      Type in the password you entered when you first set up your AT&T voicemail.

    Wireless Voicemail

    • 4

      Press and hold the voicemail key on your AT&T cell phone. Voicemail is usually assigned to the "1" key.

    • 5

      Call your AT&T cellular number from another phone. Interrupt the greeting by pressing the "*" key.

    • 6

      Type in the voicemail password, if the system prompts you for a password.
