How to Roast Almond Slices
Roasted almond slices, or slivers, are used as a key ingredient in a variety of recipes, from salads to rice dishes to pastries. They may also be enjoyed as a nutritious and satisfying snack on their own. Roasting the almonds in the oven brings out the crisp texture and accentuates the nutty and toasty flavor. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Roast almond slices for about 12 to14 minutes, taking the pan out to toss the slices with a spatula every four minutes.

Watch almonds carefully so they do not burn during the last minutes of cooking.

Remove slices from the oven and allow them to cool on a plate for 10 to 15 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
Almonds can go from just right to extremely burnt very quickly, so be prepared to move them from the oven to the plate quickly.
