How to Smoke a Pork Rib
Pork ribs are a very popular cut of meat in American cuisine. Like all forms of meat, there are many ways of preparing them correctly and many ways to prepare them in such a way as to make them unappetizing. A smoker is a popular way to cook ribs; in using it, the approach is based on the technique of lower temperatures and longer cooking times in order to achieve a very tender end product. Things You'll Need
- 2 racks pork ribs
- 1 cup salt
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
- Basting sauce
- Barbecue sauce

Preheat the smoker to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

Stir the salt, pepper, and garlic powder together in a small bowl. Apply the mixture of seasoning to the racks of rib.

Place the ribs into the smoker and heat for two to three hours. Every 15 minutes, apply basting sauce to the ribs with a brush and turn the racks over, watching carefully to ensure that the sauce does not burn.

When the meat is tender enough to be separated from the bone with minimal effort, coat both sides of the rib racks with barbecue sauce. Allow the racks to cook for 15 more minutes.

Remove the racks from the smoker and serve. This recipe should yield a total of four servings.
