The Delicious Way to Prepare Rib Eye Steak
Rib eye steak is a boneless cut of meat taken from the top section of the ribs on a cow. They have fat marbling throughout the meat and are typically 1-inch thick. They can be prepared in a number of ways, including baking, grilling, broiling and pan searing. The most delicious way to prepare rib eye steak is to marinate the meat, and then pan-sear it. Things You'll Need
- 10 tbsp. minced garlic
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. dried rosemary
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Two small bowls
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
- Three 10-oz. rib eye steaks, 1-inch thick
- Plastic wrap
- Cooking spray
- Spoon

Combine the garlic, oregano, rosemary, basil, parsley and salt in a small bowl. Stir with a spoon and add the olive oil, vinegar and pepper. Continue stirring until the spice mixture forms an even consistency. Spoon half of the mixture into a separate small bowl and set aside.

Coat both sides of three rib eye steaks with the spice mixture from one small bowl. Rub the mixture into the steaks' exterior with your fingers. Wrap the steaks individually in plastic and leave at room temperature for one hour.

Preheat a skillet over medium-high and coat with a thin layer of cooking spray.

Unwrap the steaks and place them onto the skillet. Cook for eight minutes and flip. Spoon the reserved herb mixture into the cooked sides of the steaks. Continue cooking for an additional eight minutes.

Remove from the skillet and serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings
Allow steak leftovers to come to room temperature before refrigerating. Leftovers will keep in the refrigerator for up to two days.
