How to Get the First Secret in "Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks"

"Mortal Kombat: Shoalin Monks" is a 3rd person action adventure set in the "Mortal Kombat" universe. It is available for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles and follows the adventures of Liu Kang and Kung Lao. While the game is not part of the main series of "Mortal Kombat" titles that are all one on one fighting games it does follow shortly after the events depicted in the first game. The 3D enviroments are filled with secrets "koins" that players can uncover and collect in order to unlock new items.

Instructions

1. Watch the opening cinematic showing all the characters escaping from the fortress except for Liu Kang and Kung Lao. These two characters fall through the crumbling floor and end up in the first area of the game, "Goro's Lair."

2. Walk up to the glowing blue token in the middle of the room to trigger the next cut-scene of monsters getting ready to attack.

3. List to the advice that Raiden gives before the enemies attack then use your different attack types to dispose of them.

4. Stand in front of the large skeleton hanging on the wall with your back facing it. Wait for one of the enemies to approach you and when it comes close enough press the "R2" button on the PlayStation 2 or "Black" button on Xbox to perform a throw. While throwing the enemy hold the left analogue stick in the direction of the wall. The idea is to throw the enemy into the skeleton.

5. Walk over to the secret "koin" that appears to get the first secret in the game which is a piece of concept art. This secret can be viewed from the "Kontent" menu on the title screen.
