How to Find an FLV File With Google thumbnail
Google supports a variety of special search operators.

FLV files are Flash video files, which are played with Adobe's Flash Player plug-in. An FLV file can contain interactive Flash content, animations or videos. While Google normally searches for all types of files, you can also use Google to find specific types of files, such as FLV files. After you locate the FLV file on Google, you can view it in your Web browser and download it to your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Google.com in your Web browser.

    • 2

Type "filetype:flv [query]" into the search box on the Google page, replacing "[query]" with a search term such as the name of the FLV file.

    • 3

      Press "Enter."

Tips & Warnings

  • Click the FLV file on the search results page to view it in your Web browser, or right-click the link to the FLV file on the search page and click the "Save" option to download the FLV file to your computer.
