SmartArt graphics can add a lot to a PowerPoint presentation. With SmartArt you can combine lines, images, shapes and other graphics. You can also animate with SmartArt. You can remove a SmartArt graphic entirely or make certain parts of it transparent.
Click the border of the SmartArt graphic you want to remove and press "Delete" on the keyboard.
Click on a shape and graphic within SmartArt, and press "Delete" if you just want to remove certain components of the SmartArt graphic. To delete a shape, you must click on its border. If the shape contains text and you click inside of the shape, the text is deleted when you press "Delete," but the shape itself remains.
Delete a line that is part of a SmartArt graphic by making it transparent. Select the line that you want to erase, then in the "Shape Outline" drop-down box of your "SmartArt Tools" palette at the top of the window, select "No Outline."
