How to Freeze Pizza Hut Pizza

Save

Pizza Hut, with all its various sales and deals on purchasing on multiple pizzas, can leave you with more pizza than you can eat. It can be hard to pass up a great deal on pizza, even when you know you can't eat it all. Rather than leaving it in the refrigerator where it will only last 3 to 4 days, you can freeze it and keep it for another day later down the road. Leftover Pizza Hut pizza shouldn't have to go to waste.

Things You'll Need

  • Freezer bag or airtight container
  • Permanent marker
  • Place the pizza in the refrigerator to reduce the temperature quickly and safely. Leaving pizza at room temperature can lead to bacterial growth. Leave the pizza in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  • Take the pizza out of the refrigerator and place the slices in freezer bags or plastic containers.

  • Mark the date on the containers with a permanent marker.

  • Place the pizza in the freezer right side up.

  • Reheat leftover Pizza Hut pizza in the oven within four months of freezing it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Leftover pizza should not be kept longer than four months.
  • Cooling off the pizza before freezing it is helpful to keep the slices from sticking to each other.
