Look for the nutritional information on the side of the packaging. It will be located inside a rectangular box in bold print.

Check the amount of trans fat listed in the nutritional information box. The healthiest popcorn will contain no trans fats.

Scan the nutritional information concerning "saturated fats." Good popcorn will have no more than 2 grams of saturated fat per 3 cups of popped corn.

Read the nutritional information box for the amount of sodium contained in the popcorn. Choose a product that contains less than 200 milligrams of sodium for every 3 cups of cooked corn.
