How to Get Surf in "Pokemon LeafGreen"
"Pokemon LeafGreen" is a remake of "Pokemon Blue," the original Pokemon game for the Game Boy. Pokemon have a variety of attacks that are primarily used during battle with other Pokemon. Although it can still be used as an attack, Surf can also be used to travel across water and is necessary to continue forward at some points in the game. Surf is available in the Secret House in the Safari Zone.

Go to Fuchsia City. Follow the path to the left of the Pokemon Center and enter the PokeMart.

Follow the green path to the right and head north when it splits. This will lead you to the entrance of the Safari Zone. There are four areas in the Safari Zone. Area 3 has the Secret House that contains the Surf HM.

Follow the path and battle your way to the end of the Safari Zone or use repels to prevent being attacked. You will find a sign that reads "The Warden has lost his teeth. They are around here somewhere..." Walk left past the sign to find the Secret House. Walk inside and talk to the man. He will reward you with the Surf HM.
