Even though this is a standard feature on LG plasma televisions you can still ensure screen performance by manually refreshing the screen. This involves turning off the television for a period of time. It doesn't require you to know much about electronics.

Turn off your LG plasma television and unplug its power cable from the power outlet.

Wait at least five minutes with the power of the television off.

Plug the power cable back into the wall outlet.

Turn your LG television back on. The screen will now be reset and refreshed. It will then continue the intermittent refresh cycle that is programmed into the unit.
