How to Use Clothespins as Decoration for a Baby Shower
When planning a shower, there are plenty of decorations to choose from that can give your party an appropriate baby theme, and miniature clothespins are one cute and inexpensive motif. These diminutive accessories come in the traditional blue and pink, but you can also find yellow and green ones if you don't know the sex of the baby. Clothespins serve as not only decor, but can also be used with games played by guests during the shower.

1
String a long piece of ribbon across a wall and tie or secure objects to it with clothespins. Hang up light onsies, clothes or bibs to the ribbon with miniature clothespins. Or, hang up mom and dad's own baby pictures to create a personalized display.

2
Scatter miniature clothespins on tables around food, candy or drink displays to dress up table decor, or use them to hold labels identifying the different foods on a buffet.

Play a game using clothespins. Give each guest a clothespin upon arrival and have her clip it to her blouse. Choose a forbidden name or word that must not be said during the shower, like the mom's name or "baby." When a guest hears someone else say the word, she gets to take the clothespin from the offending person. Give a small prize to whomever has collected the most pins at the end of the shower.

Create an inexpensive and reusable shower decoration by writing the baby's name or "Welcome Baby" on diapers (one letter per diaper) and pin them up to a clothesline inside or outside using the clothespins. Alternatively, have guests decorate diapers with markers and then hang them up on the clothesline. Allow mom to choose the design she likes best, and give the winner a small prize.
