Instructions

    • 1

Chill the cream and a mixing bowl in the refrigerator. Mix the cream, 1 tbsp. of sugar and 1 tsp. of vanilla in the chilled bowl with the electric mixer. Mix the ingredients on medium and it’ll start to thicken. You can use a whisk if you don’t have an electric mixer, but be forewarned it’s a lot more difficult to create whipping cream with a hand whisk.

    • 2

Change the setting on the mixer from medium to high and mix the ingredients until they become firm and peaks form. Be sure to stop when you see peaks forming because if you keep mixing you’ll have homemade butter.

    • 3

Chill the whipped cream if you’re not using it right away. You don’t have to include vanilla if you don’t want to. Instead of vanilla, you can use the same amount of various flavor extracts, such as almond, peppermint, banana or berry.
