Instructions

    • 1

Spread your sheet out on a flat surface. Then, use fabric scissors to cut the sheet in half. This gives you two long rectangular pieces.

    • 2

Lay one of the rectangles in front of you and cut the sheet in half widthwise, making two squares. Then, repeat the process on your second fabric rectangle. You should now have four squares.

    • 3

Push one end of the dowel in the Styrofoam ball about 3 inches deep. Pull the dowel back out and place a few drops of glue into the hole that the dowel created. Then, replace the dowel. Repeat the same process with the remaining three dowels and Styrofoam balls and allow the glue to dry.

    • 4

Lay a fabric square in front of you. Place one of the Styrofoam balls on top of the fabric -- in the center -- with the dowel facing up. Wrap the sheet around the Stryofoam by lifting the edges up and gathering the fabric where the dowel meets the ball. Tie the raffia around the neck to secure the fabric. Then, repeat the process for the three remaining ghost decorations.

    • 5

Use the black marker to draw eyes and a mouth on your ghost.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a different look, replace the raffia with ribbon or string.

  • Instead of drawing the eyes and mouth on with a marker, you can attach black felt circles using a hot glue gun.

  • To use the ghosts for outside decorations, either use string to hang them in trees or push the dowel into the ground.
