How to See If You Have Psychic Powers
Almost everyone has at some time wondered whether psychic powers really do exist and who might or might not possess them. There is something intriguing about the supernatural that has always held a special fascination for people. Several universities have conducted scientific experiments in an attempt to prove or disprove the existence of paranormal phenomena. Those who are interested in testing their own possible psychic abilities can conduct a simple experiment at home to determine whether or not their predictive abilities are greater than random guesses would be.

- Lightweight cardboard
- Black marking pen
- Ruler
- Compass
- Notepaper and pen or pencil for scoring
- Stopwatch or timer

Prepare a set of psychic cards. Cut 15 4-by-4-inch-square cards out of lightweight cardboard.

Use a ruler to draw a square on one of the cards. On another, use the compass to draw a circle. On three other cards draw a triangle, an arrow and a set of three short straight lines, one design on each card. The shapes should be similar in size to each other, filling the space on each card. Turn each card over to ensure the shape cannot be detected from the reverse side. Repeat this process until there are three cards for each shape.

Shuffle the 15 cards to ensure they are in random order. Ask an assistant to help you by holding the stack of cards for you. Have the assistant lift one card and place it face down on the table in front of you. Your assistant should set the timer or watch for a maximum of 10 seconds.

Stare at the back of the card and guess which shape is on the front of the card. After you have guessed the card, have your assistant record your answer and the correct shape if different. Then have your assistant place the card back into the deck and reshuffle before setting the next card in front of you.

Repeat this guessing process for 10 cards. Tally your score. Random guessing will yield an accurate answer for every 1 in 5 cards, or 20 percent of the time. Repeat this set of 10 guesses several times. If your score is consistently higher than 20 percent accurate, this could indicate some psychic ability.

Tips & Warnings
There are several free online sites that provide tests for psychic abilities and ESP (extra-sensory perception).
Take the test over a period of several days. Sometimes how well rested you are might affect your results.
Make sure the cards are identical in shape, size and color. You might be detecting subtle differences on the reverse side of the cards that suggests psychic ability that may not exist.
