While three blades on a vibrating razor blade may seem intimidating, with the right skills and supplies you can achieve a close and cut-free shave. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Use a beard trimmer to get as close of a shave on your beard as possible. This is only necessary when you have allowed your beard to grow out for some time before shaving, since excessively long facial hairs can clog razors, making shaving somewhat more difficult. If you have shaved recently, then feel free to move on to the next step without trimming your beard.

2
Wash your face with warm water and facial soap. This will remove oil, dirt, and dead skin cells from your skin, as well as untangle any ingrown hairs that may have form in your beard. Scrub your face for up to 3 minutes, and then rinse it with hot water. The hot water will open the pores on your face, exposing more of your facial hair to the blade of a razor.

Apply shaving cream to your beard in small circular motions, until you have covered it entirely. The layer you apply should be about 1/4 inch thick, depending on your preference. Shaving creams are meant to soften the hair on your face, so that it can be shaved easier with a razor. They also lubricate your skin against the friction of the razor's blades. If you have particularly sensitive skin, and want to avoid cutting yourself at all costs, then let the shaving cream sit on your face for about a minute before shaving. This will soften the hair on your face even more, allowing it to be easily cut with the M3 Power Razor.

Check to make sure that your M3 Power Razor is not dull. Observe the indicator lubrication strip at the top of the razor. They are designed to lose their coloring and turn white when the blades have been used to the point of being dull. Use a M3 Power Razor that has an Indicator lubrication strip that is orange to avoid the knicks and cuts you can get from using a dull razor.

5
Turn on the M3 Power razor by pressing the power button on its handle. Then begin to make light gentle strokes with the grain of your facial hair growth. If you apply too much pressure when shaving, you are more likely to get irritation and cuts. For this reason, let the razor do the majority of the work, by lightly dragging it across the surface of your skin. Start by shaving your neck, then your cheeks, sideburns, upper lip and chin. Waiting to shave your chin and upper lip last will allow the shaving cream to have the longest amount of time to condition your facial hair, which will in turn prevent cuts. You will need to rinse hair and shaving cream from your razor every so often, as it will accumulate between the blades as you shave.

Rinse your face with cold water after you have finished shaving. The cold water will return your pores to a closed position, and mitigate the effects of razor burn after.

Tips & Warnings
Try pulling your skin taught as you run the razor across the surface. This will create a more even surface for the blade to run across, and prevent cuts while assuring a closer shave.
For a closer shave, you can shave against the growth of your facial hair. Though keep in mind that this can cause more irritation than when shaving with the grain.
Try curling the your top lip over your teeth when shaving your upper lip. This makes the skin of the area taught, and protects your lips from the blade of the razor.
