How to Get an EZ Pass

An E-Z Pass on your windshield can save you time.

E-Z Pass is an electronic toll collection system used as an alternative to cash and coins on major highways. In order to use E-Z Pass, drivers must open a prepaid account. E-Z Pass is calculated by attaching a small electronic device to your windshield. Drivers use E-Z Pass for frequent traveling and small discounts on tolls. E-Z Pass is available in many states in the northeastern United States. You can get E-Z Pass by going to a customer service center, calling their E-Z Pass hotline or completing an online application.

Instructions

1. Go to the E-Z Pass application website (EZPass.com).

2. Select "individual application" if you need an individual account with a maximum of four tags. Choose "commercial application" if you need an unlimited number of tags.

3. Click "Click here to enroll online" or "Click here to download and print an application," depending on what you want to do.

4. Read the E-Z Pass Customer Agreement Terms and Conditions and click "I Accept."

5. Fill out the E-ZPass application with your personal information, vehicle information, tag request, your specific payment plan and payment method.

6. Click "I Accept" to complete your application. If you prefer to register over the phone, call 1-888-AUTO-TOLL.
