How to Draw Awesome Graffiti
Drawing graffiti on paper is one of the most efficient ways of developing your designs and personal graffiti style before transferring your work to a larger surface, such as a wall. When designing graffiti, it is important to develop your own style that will be recognized by other graffiti artists. Drawing awesome graffiti requires a lot of practice, as you will need to master the art of designing graffiti as well as coloring and shading your pieces.

- Paper
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Thin, ink marker
- Blotter page
- Pantome markers
- Colorless blending marker

Draw the outline of your design on a piece of paper. Start by drawing the basic shape of your graffiti piece, and then adding additional lines to make the drawing three-dimensional---as most graffiti pieces often are.

Use a thin, ink marker to trace the entire design. Then, create a slightly thicker outline on the lines on the outer edge of the drawing.

Allow the ink to dry and then erase all the initial pencil lines. Set the inked drawing on a blotter page so that the ink from the markers does not seep through to your work surface.

Color the drawing using markers that are close in color, so that the colors will bleed into one another. Use slow, deliberate strokes when coloring to make sure you stay inside the lines. Practice blending colors together to create shadowed areas on the piece. Use a colorless blender marker to blend darker colors into white, to create highlight effects.

Fill in the entire piece with color and then add any background shadows or designs.

Tagging buildings is considered vandalism, and is an illegal practice. Never transfer your graffiti designs to a building without permission from the owner.
