How to Make Zombie Clothes for Women

How to Make Zombie Clothes for Women thumbnail
A zombie's clothes should look like they have been in a grave.

Zombies are the "undead" -- humans who have died but returned from the grave to wander on earth in a trance-like state. Because zombies were once human, their clothing can be most anything humans would wear, but altered to be horrifying and dirty.

Things You'll Need

  • Scissors

Instructions

    • 1

Select old clothes that you will not mind ripping or staining. A thrift shop might turn up an old prom dress or wedding gown, which would add a dramatic flair to a costume.

    • 2

Cut the clothes with scissors and tear the fabric by hand. The idea is to look as if you were attacked by other zombies when you were still human. Shred a skirt, rip a sleeve or strap so that it hangs, partially tear away ruffles or trim.

    • 3

Dust the clothing with flour or baby powder to make it look as if it had been mouldering in a grave. Dust your hair and skin with flour to add to the effect.

    • 4

Splatter the clothing with gray and brown paint to make it look look dirty.

    • 5

Apply fake blood to your zombie clothes to make bite marks and bloody hand prints. Drip fake blood around the rips and tears in the clothes so it appears that you were injured when you were attacked. Once the paint and fake blood has dried you are ready to dress up and go.
