How to Enter Key Codes to Activate PC Games
Activation keys, or key codes, are 16- to 20-digit codes included in new PC games. These codes are used to verify that you own a legal copy of the game you just bought, and are also used to restrict usage of the game to one computer. Generally, the code is found on the back or inside of the CD case, or in the manual. For all PC games, this activation key needs to be entered when the game is installed. The process will be similar for every PC game with an activation key.

Insert the game into your computer's disc drive.

Select "Install" from the menu that will appear.

Select "I Agree" to the Terms of Service.

Enter the 16- or 20-digit activation key in the field provided. Some keys are case sensitive. If you have entered the key incorrectly, the game will alert you, giving you another opportunity to insert the key.

Tips & Warnings
Do not lose the activation key. Once lost, you can no longer install your PC game.
