      Open your Web browser and navigate to the Twitter homepage at twitter.com.

      Type your Twitter username and password in their respective boxes in the upper-right corner of the screen and click the "Sign In" button.

      Click inside the "What's Happening?" boxes and type a message consisting of up to 140 characters. The character counter below the box shows you how many more characters you have space for as you type. Edit accordingly.

      Click the "Tweet" button. Your Twitter update appears below. Anyone who follows you or views your Twitter profile will see the update.
