How to Create Twitter Updates

It is not uncommon to fall in love with tweeting.

Twitter is a microblogging service that lets you type short status updates or "tweets" for others to read. Other users who elect to "follow" you can see your tweets in their timelines of people they follow. Non-Twitter users can also view your tweets by navigating their Web browsers to your profile on Twitter. Creating a Twitter update is as simple as typing in a box and clicking a button. Think of something you would like to say, then follow these straightforward steps to create the update.

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser and navigate to the Twitter homepage at twitter.com.

2. Type your Twitter username and password in their respective boxes in the upper-right corner of the screen and click the "Sign In" button.

3. Click inside the "What's Happening?" boxes and type a message consisting of up to 140 characters. The character counter below the box shows you how many more characters you have space for as you type. Edit accordingly.

4. Click the "Tweet" button. Your Twitter update appears below. Anyone who follows you or views your Twitter profile will see the update.
