How to Flirt After My Divorce
Although most people hope they will find happiness in marriage, over half of marriages in the United States end in divorce. After a divorce, it can be difficult to regain confidence enough to flirt or even to remember how to flirt. Although flirting, meeting new people and dating can be a challenge, following a few simple steps will make flirting easier for the newly single.

1
Smile. A smile shows you are interested in the person and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. It also shows that you are open to a conversation or flirtation and immediately puts the object of your flirtation at ease.

2
Engage in small-talk. For people who have been in long-term relationships, it can be difficult to remember how to just chat. If you need help with small-talk, make a list of topics and interesting events to use for small-talk in social situations. Topics such as current events, music, art, film, television and books are all good places to start. However, try to avoid politics.

Express interest in the other person by asking them friendly questions. Try not to put all of the focus on yourself. Ask questions and express your interest in their responses with both verbal and nonverbal communication such as a touch or direct eye contact.

Tease and be playful. Teasing can make you seem not just open and friendly, but can also be a very clear indication that you are actually flirting. Although it's not a good idea to be unkind in your teasing (don't bring up sensitive issues such as weight, hair loss or appearance), most people enjoy a playful attitude and a willingness to joke.
