How to Iron a Badge to a Shirt
Ironing badges on your shirts is not a difficult task to complete, but if you lose the directions that came with the badge or patch, it can be frustrating. Badges or patches are used to decorate shirts to show ranks of office or express personality. There are several associations that use badges on a regular basis such as private clubs, the scouts and private societies. Spread one pillowcase on a sturdy surface such as an ironing board or countertop. This will protect the surface you're ironing on by not causing scorching to the surface.

Place the shirt where you want the badge face up on top of the pillowcase. Place the badge into position and cover it with the second pillowcase.

Heat up the iron to the hottest setting safe for the fabric of the shirt. Iron on the badge for 30 seconds, applying as much pressure as is possible for you and the surface you are ironing on.

Remove the top pillowcase and flip the shirt over. Replace the pillowcase and continue ironing for an additional 30 seconds.

Repeat ironing as needed until the badge is securely ironed to the shirt. Allow the shirt to cool completely before handling the fabric.

Tips & Warnings
If the badge starts to come off, you can repeat the process until it is secure again. If your badge is not an iron-on badge, you will need to sew it on the shirt. Wash the shirt inside out.
Exercise caution when using a hot iron. Failure to exercise caution when using an iron can result in burns to your skin or scorching to other surfaces.
