How to Check a Link in Google Rank
One way of finding out the popularity of a certain website or blog is to find out its Google Page Rank. Google assigns a page rank to each website indexed by its search engine. Google considers many factors to determine page rank, including the number of inbound links to the website and the quality of those links. For example, a website with many inbound links from an educational establishment or government agency will rank higher than a site with just a few inbound links from personal blogs. Find out the Google Page Rank for any website by entering its link address into a free, online page rank tool.

-
3
Enter the full Universal Resource Locator (URL) address of the website or blog you want to check. You don't need to include the "http://" prefix of the address, but do include the "www" portion.
-
4
Click the "Check PR" or "Submit" button. If prompted, enter the "captcha" code and then click "Verify Now" or "Submit." This is designed to stop automated programs from spamming the page rank check service with hundreds of requests.
-
5
View the results. Page rank is expressed as a score out of 10; the higher the number, the more popular the website. Websites with a high page rank usually appear toward the top of Google search results for relevant search terms.

Tips & Warnings
The popularity of page rank checking tools means servers can sometimes get overloaded. You might need to enter the link address more than once to get a result.
If you've installed the Google Toolbar on your Web browser, you can add a "Google Page Rank" button to the toolbar. This displays the rank of each website you visit in the toolbar.
