Additionally, you can wrap them in plastic wrap, which will steam the potatoes as they cook.   • Potatoes
  • Plastic wrap
  • Microwave
  • Oven mitts

Instructions

      Pierce the potatoes with a fork. The holes allow the steam to escape so be generous with the holes. The more the merrier.

      Wrap the potatoes in plastic wrap. Be careful to completely cover the potatoes.

      Place the potatoes in the microwave.

      Cook the potatoes on high for five to 10 minutes. Insert a knife into the center of the potato. If the knife can easily reach the center then the potato is fully cooked. If it is difficult to reach the center, continue cooking the potatoes.

      Put on oven mitts before removing the potatoes from the microwave. This will prevent the steam from the potatoes from burning your skin. Allow the potatoes to stop steaming before handling.
