  • Tea mug
  • Water
  • Honey
  • Tablespoon
  • Knife and Lemon (optional)

      Fill a 12 oz, mug with 6 to 8 oz. of water. Place in the microwave and heat on high for two minutes or until hot. Remove the mug from the microwave and place it on the counter. Be careful to avoid exposing unprotected skin to any steam that may be coming off of the hot water.

      Measure out 2 tbsp. of honey. Mix them into the hot water until the honey is completely dissolved. Let the water cool for three to five minutes.

      Carefully test the water's temperature by taking a small sip. Allow it to cool further if it is still too hot. Cut a lemon into wedges and squeeze into the water to add flavor.
