How to Change Majors at Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech, located in the heart of Atlanta, offers 36 undergraduate majors in six colleges. With major options ranging from economics to architecture to aerospace engineering, students might struggle finding the degree program that is the right fit. Rather than sticking with a major just because it's the one you selected when you enrolled, Georgia Tech allows you to change majors, with some stipulations.

Tips & Warnings
Incoming freshman who have not yet started classes can change majors at any time. However, Georgia Tech asks students to submit their major change in writing to the Office of Undergraduate Admission by June 30. This gives students time to change their class schedule to fit with their new major's first-year requirements.
Georgia Tech allows currently enrolled students who have completed less than 60 credits one "free" major change, with "free" meaning no restrictions. If students want to change majors after they have earned 60 credits, they might face restrictions, such as a minimum GPA requirement, imposed by the college or program into which they want to transfer.
