How to Use the Windows Explorer XP Icon in Vista
When using Microsoft Windows Vista, you will notice that the layout and the icons are different from what you may have become accustomed to seeing when using Windows XP. If for any reason you prefer the appearance of Microsoft Windows XP, you can change the setup of your Vista operating system so that it continues to display the XP icons.

Click "Start," then "Control Panel."

Click "Appearance and Personalization," then "Personalization."

Click "Theme."

Select "Windows Classic" from the drop-down menu.

Click "OK." Wait a few seconds and your Windows operating system, including all icons, will appear as it would if you were running Windows XP.
