How to Remove BBM in BlackBerry Desktop Manager

BBM is exclusive to BlackBerry users.

Applications such as BlackBerry Messenger, or BBM, may be removed from your BlackBerry smartphone with the help of BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Desktop Manager is specifically designed by Research in Motion, the makers of BlackBerry, to help users easily manage applications and data stored on their phones. After removing BBM from your phone, you will no longer be able to instant message with other BlackBerry users through the application.

Instructions

1. Double-click the "BlackBerry Desktop Manager" icon on your computer's desktop.

2. Connect your BlackBerry to the computer and wait for Desktop Manager to recognize the device.

3. Click "Application Loader," then click "Start" in the "Add/Remove Applications" section.

4. Enter your device password if prompted by the program, then click "Next."

5. Click "Next" again and uncheck the box next to "BlackBerry Messenger."

6. Click "Next" to confirm your selection. Click "Finish" to finalize the removal of BBM from your BlackBerry.
